Kim Lee is a wife, mother, grandmother, entrepreneur and an advocate for students seeking “life after high school”. As a mother raising two sons, I was always their biggest advocate. I believe parenting is a blessing from God. Their education was always a priority. As our boys grew, I became very involved in their education. I began to learn the requirements of college admittance, the importance of the PSAT, SAT, ACT tests along with AP (Advanced Placement) classes. As a mother of athletic sons, I researched the NCAA requirements along with seeking information from coaches. I hired a teacher, supplied the location to teach SAT prep to not only my sons but other athletes as well free of charge.
I am also one of the founding members of Coalition for Higher Learning, a nonprofit organization whose mission was to reward local high school graduates attending college with scholarships based on merit and not financial need. I had the honor of awarding students scholarships based on their community involvement, GPA, and an essay. We raised money to fund these scholarships with annual fundraisers and community donations.
As a board member of HOPE, I will continue to advocate, mentor students, and seek donations to assist students with reaching their goals.
