Shadaya Litt has served in administrative positions and as an academic advisor in higher education for over 12 years.
Shadaya received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing Emphasis) from San Diego State University in 2000. She is a University of Arkansas alumni with the achievement of her Master of Science degree in Operations Management in 2014.
She has been advising students in the College of Engineering at University of California, Davis since 2017. Prior to working at UC Davis, Shadaya enjoyed her role as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor in the College of Engineering at Old Dominion University. Preceding that position, she was a Graduate Advisor for the Operations Management Program in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville where she was later promoted to the role of Assistant Director for Retention and Recruitment in the Enrollment Services and Admissions Office.
Shadaya has a holistic approach to advising and finds gratitude in supporting student development. She found her gratitude and passion for students when she volunteered during her high school summers in a Special Education classroom. The student population she serves now consists of unrepresented students, first generation, students with disabilities and students who experience academic difficulties. In addition to supporting students in higher education, she served as a Sunday school teacher for teenage girls. She is also passionate about being active in one of her community groups, athletic spouses. She co-founded the non-profit organization, National Association for Athletic Spouses (NAAS).
Shadaya is a lupus warrior who participates in supports groups such as 4 A’s Sisters Lupus Club of Lafayette, Louisiana and Lupus Sister Circle associated with Lupus Foundation of America.
